oldenburg vineyards, a specialist limited production wine producer based in stellenbosch, is looking to appoint a brand manager for the direct-to-consumer channel. the goal of this position is to drive the growth of this luxury brand by directly reaching, and engaging, with consumers.

you will be creative, confident and knowledgeable with respect to luxury wine branding. you will be “tech savvy” with the ability to identify the appropriate systems, such as crm, order and wine club management, and execute their rollout within collaboration with the broader team. this position will require a creative, enthusiastic, wine professional who has an innate ability to understand “brand” and execute within a high net worth environment.

you will be responsible for:

• developing and implementing comprehensive digital & interpersonal marketing strategies for growth in dtc channels, both locally and abroad

• analysing consumer behaviour and adjusting marketing campaigns accordingly – with specific interest in the development of the us dtc market

• collaboration with the tasting room to create engaging content that will drive feet to the farm and grow the dtc footprint through meaningful experiences

• continuous involvement with current client base, reviewing needs, opportunities & service delivery

• utilising software solutions to review consumer data, create opportunities & maximise service offerings

requirements
• suitable marketing/brand/business qualification (preference for marketing, brand, ecommerce)
• strong wine knowledge and experience, with the ability to advise clients on wine selection. a passion for wine.
• strong (private client) sales skills and relationship-building skills
• proven track record
