a prestigious wine estate in franschhoek is looking for a garden manager to lead the maintenance and development of its gardens and related agricultural projects. we're seeking a reliable, hardworking individual with strong leadership skills and a passion for horticulture.
responsibilities:
• oversee the upkeep of gardens, lawns, trees & walkways
• manage garden staff and daily operations
• plan and run garden & agricultural projects within budget
• oversee honey, olives, fruit, vegetables, herbs, flowers, nursery & composting
• ensure iso/environmental compliance & maintain equipment
• manage budgets and cost reporting
requirements:
• fluent in english & afrikaans
• computer literate (ms word & excel)
• own transport
• 5–6 years’ experience in a similar role
• strong organisational and communication skills
• strong leadership and management skills (you will manage a large team)
• horticulture qualification (advantageous)
