we are looking to appoint an experienced wine operations professional who will sit at the heart of operations – connecting production, logistics & global distribution.
you will thrive on juggling multiple priorities, working with international clients, and ensuring everything runs like clockwork, this could be your next move.
duties will include:
export coordination:
• processing export orders (from start to finish)
• applying for all relevant certificates for exports
• sensorial renewals submissions
• liaising with freight forwarders and international clients
• doing spot checks of export bottle stocks on sight
• facilitate new vintage sample allocation for export customers
• ensure all export certifications are in order
production planning:
• ordering/approving and signing off labels
• ordering dry goods
• schedule bottling and labelling
• sourcing bulk wines to be tasted by winemaker.
• ensure bulk wine contracts are in place.
• visiting bottling plants during production
• stock forecasting, production planning and control in conjunction with the winemaker
• sales reporting and forecasting in conjunction with the winemaker and/or sales team
• assist in chasing production-related invoices/credit notes/statements from suppliers and ensure the correctness thereof
operations and logistics:
• update all relevant industry licenses (including liquor licenses, fda renewals, texas customs, tabc administration)
• reconcile monthly movements of bottle stock between warehouses
• maintain good relationships with all external stakeholders
• facilitate and draft the annual sales budget in conjunction with winemaker
• draft in conjunction with the winemaker, the annual production budget
• measure and calculate the cost to complete alongside annual production budget
• annual vehicle services and renewal of company vehicle licensing disks
• administer and manage the company’s business insurance policy with external broker
• monthly reconciliation of excise litres from service providers bonded warehouses
• operational project management
this position will require experience in the wine industry with a strong understanding of export documentation and compliance. a solid command of excel is important. you will have excellent organizational and multitasking skills, high attention to detail and accuracy & strong communication skills. confident, ability to work independently and; having a passion for the wine industry will most certainly help!
